Jaman District

The Jaman District is a former district in the Brong-Ahafo Region in Ghana . It was only formed in 1988 through a division of the Berekum-Jaman District and on November 12, 2003, by presidential decree of President John Agyekum Kufuor, it was divided into the districts of Jaman South District and Jaman North District , which have been part of the Bono Region since 2018 .

The Jaman District had 147,216 inhabitants (as of 2002) on an area of ​​1,376 km² and bordered the districts of Berekum , Dormaa and Tain as well as the neighboring country of Ivory Coast .
