The Jamelsee is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District and is about 9.5 kilometers west of Neustrelitz . The lake belongs to the Neustrelitz Kleinseenland .
The foot-shaped lake is about 600 meters long and up to 300 meters wide. The bank is wooded. The tributary is on the southwestern bank. There is a trench system here that supplies Lake Jamel from the Red Lake . The outflow is on the northwestern bank and takes place over the narrow towing ditch into the Havel .
