Career
Jevpalovs spent his junior years until 2010 in his native city of Riga , where he became the Latvian U18 junior champion with SK Riga . The striker then moved to Canada for a season. There he ran for the South Muskoka Shield in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League before returning to his Latvian homeland. In the service of HK Riga Jevpalovs played the 2011/12 season in the junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga .

After being selected in the CHL Import Draft , the Latvian dared to jump again to Canada in the summer of 2012, where he played for the Armada de Blainville-Boisbriand in the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec for the next three years . There the power forward quickly gained a foothold and increased his points yield from 39 in his rookie season , to 54 and then 100 points in his third and final year, which earned him the election to the Second All-Star Team of the league.
The 100-point season subsequently aroused the desires of the franchises from the National Hockey League , whereupon he was signed by the San Jose Sharks for the following two seasons in January 2015 . At the beginning of the 2015/16 game year , Jevpalovs joined their farm team , the San Jose Barracuda , in the American Hockey League . Since he could not quite meet expectations there, however, he was handed over to their cooperation partner from the ECHL at the end of the season . The attacker won the Kelly Cup with the Allen Americans at the end of the season . For the 2016/17 season he then returned to San Jose, where he continued to work with the Barracuda. However, the team did not extend its expiring contract in the summer of 2017, whereupon Jevpalovs received a trial contract with Dinamo Riga from the Continental Hockey League in July 2017, which was expanded into a permanent engagement until the end of the season the following August.
In the summer of 2018, the Latvian finally returned to North America when he signed a contract with the Rocket de Laval from the American Hockey League .
International
For his home country, Jevpalovs was on the ice in the junior division at the U18 Junior World Championships 2012 as well as the U20 Junior World Championships in 2012 , U20 Junior World Championships in 2013 and 2014 in Division IA .
The striker first appeared for the senior national team in 2015. He made his debut at an international tournament as part of the 2018 World Cup .
