James Copeland

James Copeland (born May 1, 1923 in Helensburgh , Dunbartonshire , † April 17, 2002 in London ) was a Scottish actor and the father of actor James Cosmo .

He made his film debut in 1953 in the comedy Laxdale Hall . He starred in more than fifty film productions until the 1990s. One of his most famous films is the drama Once a Hero with Alec Guinness in the lead role. As in this film, he almost exclusively embodied supporting roles and therefore did not gain much fame.

In the 1990s he retired and led a life away from the media. Therefore, nothing is known about the circumstances of his death in April 2002.
