James Douglas Home, 28th Baron Dacre

James Thomas Archibald Douglas-Home, 28th Baron Dacre (* 16th May 1952 in Edinburgh , † 8. May 2014 in Lockinge , Oxfordshire) was an English nobleman , trainer for race horses and horse racing - Correspondent .

He was the son of William Douglas-Home (1912-1992) and Rachel Leila Brand, 28th Baroness Dacre (1929-2012).

He was educated at Eton College and Bristol University .

In the 1970s and 1980s he worked as a racehorse trainer. He then gained some recognition as a correspondent in horse racing, especially for the Racing Post and Country Life magazine .

When his mother died in 2012, he inherited her title of nobility.

In 1979 he married Christine Stephenson († 2008). With her he has a daughter and heir to his nobility:

He died of suicide on May 8, 2014 .
