James Flack Norris Award

The American Chemical Society's (Northeastern Section) James Flack Norris Award (James Flack Norris Award in Physical Organic Chemistry) is an award in physical organic chemistry that has been awarded annually since 1965. It is endowed with $ 5,000. It is awarded regardless of nationality and is named after James Flack Norris (1871–1940), chemistry professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology .

There is also a James Flack Norris Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Teaching of Chemistry .
