James Gbilee (born May 2, 1987 in Monrovia , Liberia ) is a Liberian football player .

Club career

James Gbilee was signed in 2008 by Indian club Shillong Lajong FC . After just one season, he and his team were able to celebrate promotion to the I-League , India's highest football league. In 2009 he and his team also made it to the final of the Federation Cup , one of the most important cup competitions in India. However, the club could not hold the class and rose from bottom of the table after only one season. In the 2012/12 season, Gbilee managed to regain immediate promotion with Shiilong Lajong, but left the club at the end of the season. The Liberian stayed in the Indian second division and moved to Kalighat Milan Sangha FC . The club had received the right to start professional football for the first time half a year earlier through the All India Football Federation .
