The Ministry of Health and Social Services ( MHSS ; English Ministry of Health and Social Services ), the Ministry of Health of Namibia .

It has been headed by Minister Kalumbi Shangula since December 2018 with the support of Deputy Minister Juliet Kavetuna .

The ministry is divided into 12 regional directorates , which, among other things, supervise the state hospitals, clinics and health centers. In addition to the regional directorates, there are the following directorates with their headquarters in Windhoek:

  • Primary Health Care Services (first aid)
  • Social Welfare Services (social welfare )
  • Special programs (special programs)
  • Tertiary Health Care & Clinical Support Services (tertiary care and support services)
  • Finance and Logistics (finance and logistics)
  • HRM & General Services (Workforce Management & General Services )
  • Policy, Planning and HRD (regulations, planning and workforce development)
  • Atomic Energy & Radiation Protection Regulator (Nuclear and Radiological Safety Regulations)
