Kalumbi Shangula

Kalumbi Shangula (* in South West Africa ) is a Namibian doctor , politician at SWAPO and Minister in the Ministry of Health and Social Services since December 20, 2018 .

Shangula was most recently Vice Chairman of the Medical School of the University of Namibia . Previously, he was Vice Secretary of State in the Ministry of Health and in the Ministry of Environment and Tourism . Until 2017, Kalumbi was managing director of SWAPO's own group of companies, Kalahari Holdings .

Shangula had been married to the Namibian pathologist Elizabeth Hinananye Shangula since July 28, 1981 , who died in 2008 at the age of 55.
