Penda Ya Ndakolo

Penda Ya Ndakolo (* 23. March 1960 in Oshigambo , South West Africa ) is a Namibian politician of SWAPO . From March 2015 to March 2020 he worked in the Geingob I cabinet as a Minister in the Ministry of Defense .

Ya Ndakolo was from 2004 to 2015 and has been governor of the Oshikoto region since April 7, 2020 . He was a member of the National Council from 2004 to 2010 ; since 2015 he has been a member of the National Assembly . In the 1980s he was a member of the People's Liberation Army of Namibia in the Namibian Liberation Struggle .

Awards

In 2014 he received one of the highest orders in Namibia for his services with the Most Distinguished Order of Namibia (1st class) from President Hifikepunye Pohamba .

In 2009 he was a war veteran (veteran of the National Liberation Struggle of Namibia) acknowledged.
