Tom Alweendo

Thomas "Tom" Kavaningilamo Alweendo (born March 17, 1958 in Omusheshe , South West Africa , today Namibia ) is a Namibian politician of SWAPO and minister of his country; since February 8, 2018 in the Mining and Energy Department .

Alweendo was previously Governor of the Bank of Namibia and Managing Director of Air Namibia . He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of the Witwatersrand ( South Africa ) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wales ( United Kingdom ).
