Iipumbu Shiimi
Iipumbu Wendelinus Shiimi (* in South West Africa ) is a Namibian politician from SWAPO . He has been Minister of Finance since March 23, 2020 and was governor of the Namibian Central Bank since 2010 .

Shiimi holds degrees in Finance ( Master of Science ) in 1998 and a Postgradutierten Diploma in Economics (1995) of the University of London in the United Kingdom . He also received a diploma in foreign trade (1995) and a bachelor's degree in trade and accounting (1994) from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands in 1994 .
Career
Shiimi began his career as a research assistant at the Namibia Economic Policy Research Unit (NEPRU) in 1994. Shortly afterwards, he switched to a research assistant at the Bank of Namibia, where from 1997 he headed the economic department. Further positions in the central bank followed before Shiimi became vice governor of the bank in 2006.
