Frans Kapofi

Frans Kapofi (* 25. January 1953 in Onaame , South West Africa ) is a Namibian politician of SWAPO . He has been Minister of the Interior and Security since March 23, 2020 . Previously, he had been Minister of the Interior since February 8, 2018, after having been Minister for Presidential Affairs since 2015 . In addition, he held the office of Minister of Justice on an interim basis from November 13, 2019 to March 22, 2020 .

Kapofi holds numerous degrees in business administration , military and social sciences from Tanzania , the United Kingdom , the United States and Russia . He mainly worked in leading positions in government agencies and was a leading member of the military freedom movement People's Liberation Army of Namibia .
