Sacky Shangala

Sakeus Edward Twelityamena Shangala , mostly just Sacky Shangala (born June 13, 1977 in Onandjokwe , South West Africa ), is a Namibian politician of SWAPO and former minister .

Shangala was Attorney-General from 2015 to 2018 . From February 8, 2018 to November 13, 2019, he was Minister of Justice . Shangala resigned, together with Fisheries Minister Bernhard Esau , in the context of the Fishrot affair .

Shangala holds law degrees from the University of Namibia . Before becoming a minister, he worked in various high-level legal positions in Namibia and all of Southern Africa .

Corruption affair

Shangala, together with Fisheries Minister Bernhard Esau , resigned as Minister on November 13, 2019 as part of the Fishrot affair . He has been wanted by arrest warrant since November 23, 2019 . Shangala was arrested on or before November 27, 2019.
