Katrina Hanse-Himarwa

Katrina Hanse-Himarwa (* 22. January 1967 in Hoachanas , South West Africa , now Namibia ) is a Namibian politician of SWAPO . She was Minister for Education , Art and Culture in the Geingob I cabinet from 2015 to July 9, 2019 . She was governor of the Hardap region from 2004 to 2015 .

In 2014 Hanse-Himarwa received the Most Distinguished Order of Namibia, one of the highest awards in the country.

At the beginning of July 2019, she was found guilty of corruption by the higher court for offenses during her tenure as regional governor in 2014 . A day later, she resigned as ministries. She was ultimately fined 50,000 Namibian dollars .
