David Namwandi

David Richard Namwandi (* 28. February 1954 in Okapya , South West Africa ) is a Namibian politician of SWAPO . He was Minister of Education in the Pohamba II cabinet from February 21, 2013 to March 21, 2015 . Before that, he had been Vice Minister of Education under Abraham Iyambo since 2010 .

Namwandi is co-founder of the International University of Management (IUM) and was its rector from 2001 to 2010 . He holds numerous degrees from Africa and Europe as well as an MBA and Ph.D. from Asia e University from Malaysia .
