Uahekua Herunga

Uahekua Herunga (born October 25, 1969 in Omuhiva , South West Africa ) is a Namibian politician from SWAPO . From 2012 to 2015 he was Minister for Environment and Tourism in the Pohamba II cabinet

Herunga was a member of the National Assembly from 2010 to 2020 . He lost his parliamentary mandate after SWAPO only won 63 seats in the 2019 parliamentary election . Herunga was at number 77 on the list .

Herunga was the official representative of Namibia at the UN climate conference in Montreal in 2005 . He is a trained teacher and worked as such from 1998 to 2007. Herunga holds a 1997 diploma from Ongwediva College of Education .
