Richard Kapelwa Kabajani
Richard Kapelwa Kabajani , also Kapelwa Richard Kabajani (born February 15, 1943 in Ivilivinzi , South West Africa , today Namibia ; † May 17, 2007 in Katima Mulilo ), was a Namibian activist , politician and diplomat of SWAPO in the Namibian liberation struggle . He was a member of the Constituent Assembly of Namibia .
Kabajani is buried as a national hero in the heroes' field near Windhoek .
Career
Kabajani went to school in neighboring Botswana from 1955 to 1964 . He then joined SWAPO, for whose armed arm PLAN Kabajani was sent to Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia ) and Tanzania for training . After 1986 he became an adviser to founding President Sam Nujoma .
Kabajani was Minister in the Ministry of Transport from 1992 until 1992 , then Minister in the Ministry of Land and Resettlement until 1995 and then until 2000 in the Ministry of Youth and Sport . In the same year he became Namibia's ambassador to Cuba .
