Moses Amweel

Moses Amweel (* 25. May 1952 in Okatana , South West Africa ) is a Namibian politician of SWAPO . He was Cabinet Nujoma III from 2000 to 2005 Minister of Public Works and Transport .

Political career

Amweel was a member of the National Assembly between 2000 and 2010 , during which time he led numerous standing committees. In 2000 he was appointed Minister of Transport by President Sam Nujoma .

He went into exile in 1974, where he campaigned for SWAPO in the Namibian liberation struggle .

education

Amweel graduated from the Ongwediva College of Education in Ongwediva as a teacher . In 1980 he received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering in the Soviet Union . In 1991 Amweel received a Masters of Science degree in Shipbuilding Engineering and Safety from the World Maritime University in Sweden . This was followed by a degree in maritime management and economy of Egypt in 1983 and a doctorate of International Transport Academy in Russian Saint Petersburg of 2002.
