Agnes Tjongarero

Agnes Tjongarero Basilia (* 17th May 1946 in Walvis Bay , South West Africa ) is a Namibian politician of SWAPO . She has been Minister for Youth, National Services and Sport since March 23, 2020 . Before that, she was Deputy Minister in the same ministry.

Tjongarero is a trained and studied nurse . In her youth she was a professional netball player . She headed the umbrella organization All Namibian Netball Association from 1993 to 1997.
