Bernard Haufiku

Bernard Shidute Haufiku , not infrequently also Bernhard (with h ), (born September 19, 1966 , South West Africa , today Namibia ) is a Namibian doctor , politician of SWAPO and was Minister in the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs between 2015 and December 19, 2018 Services . He has been transferred to the Vice-President's Office as Special Advisor on Health by President Hage Geingob.

After his school education, Haufiku went to study in South Africa . He received a B. Sc. In 1989 . -Degree from the University of the Western Cape , followed by a medical degree at the Witwatersrand University (1990-1994). In 1999 Haufiku did an advanced training in anesthesia at the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa, also in South Africa.

Haufiku initially worked in numerous state and private hospitals in Namibia. From 2001 to 2015 he was a team doctor for the Namibian national soccer team before moving to politics as a minister. He is still active as a doctor.
