Sophia Shaningwa

Sophia Shaningwa (* 20th century ) is a Namibian politician for SWAPO . At the end of 2017 she was elected Secretary General of the governing SWAPO.

From 2015 to February 8, 2018, Shaningwa served in the Geingob I cabinet as minister in the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development . Between 2004 and 2010 she was Regional Governor of the Khomas Region , before that since 2004 the region Omusati .

Shaningwa has been the recipient of the Most Distinguished Order of Namibia since August 16, 2014 ( Heldentag )
