The Ministry of International Cooperation and Cooperation (MIRC, English Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation ) until March 2015 State Department (English Ministry of Foreign Affairs ), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Namibia .
The ministry has been headed by Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah since December 4, 2012 .
The Ministry performs its tasks through three departments, a directorate and the diplomatic missions.
- The Department of Regional and bilateral affairs (The Regional and Bilateral Affairs Department) is responsible for promoting the Namibian politics and business with Europe and OECD -countries, Africa and the Middle East and America , the Caribbean , Asia responsible and the countries of the Pacific region .
- The Department of multilateral coordination (The Multilateral Policy Coordination Department) promotes Namibian politics and business in terms of the African Union , the United Nations , the Commonwealth and the Non-Aligned Movement . It represents Namibia vis-à-vis other governmental and non-governmental organizations and promotes the Namibian understanding of international law.
- The Protocol Department (The Protocol Department) is responsible for the accreditation of diplomats , the management of immunities , the diplomatic protocol and the issuing of diplomatic passports and diplomatic visas responsible.
- The Administration Directorate (The Administration Directorate) is internal to the Finance , Human Resources Development working and general services.
