The Ministry of Labor, union relations and job creation ( english Ministry of Labor, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation ) until March 2015 Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (English Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare ), the Ministry of Labor of Namibia . The social department went to the newly created Ministry for Poverty Reduction and Social Welfare in March 2015 .

The ministry has been chaired by Utoni Nujoma since March 23, 2020 .

The ministry is responsible for the Namibian labor market. It plans and implements government workplace programs and monitors compliance with labor laws. Even Black Economic Empowerment and affirmative action covered by the work of the Ministry.
