The Ministry of SOEs ( English Ministry of Public Enterprises , MPE ) since March 2015, the Ministry for the management of state enterprises in Namibia .

The ministry was created with the establishment of the Geingob I cabinet on March 21, 2015. Minister is Leon Jooste , Vice Minister Engel Nawatiseb .

Since July 21, 2016, 18 commercial state-owned companies are to be subordinate to the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises and no longer to a single ministry responsible for the content. A corresponding legislative proposal was introduced in September 2018 and rejected by many specialist ministers.
