James H. Leuba

James Henry Leuba (born 1868 in Neuchâtel , Switzerland ; died 1946 ) was an American psychologist . He was one of the pioneers of modern religious psychology .

Leuba first studied in his hometown, then in Leipzig, Halle, Heidelberg and Paris. He was a professor of psychology at Bryn Mawr College , Pennsylvania . Leuba emerged as the author of a psychology of religious mysticism .
