James CF Huang
James Chih-fang Huang ( Chinese 黃志芳 / 黄志芳 , Pinyin Huáng Zhìfāng , W.-G. Huáng Chìh-fāng , Pe̍h-ōe-jī N̂g Chì-phang ; born September 14, 1958 in Tainan , Taiwan ) is a Taiwanese politician .
Life
Huang graduated from Taiwan National University . He became Foreign Minister of Taiwan on January 25, 2006, succeeding Mark Chen . His successor in this office has been Francisco Ou since May 20, 2009 . Huang resigned as foreign minister following a failed diplomatic attempt to establish diplomatic relations with the state of Papua New Guinea .
