Die Liebesflüsterin is a German TV film from 2008 . The comedy film is based on the motifs of the novel Cyrano de Bergerac written by Edmond Rostand .

The carpenter Katharina von Bergerach is a boyish young woman with a very brisk appearance. One does not trust it to have a soft core under its hard, rough shell. But when one day the beautiful restorer Jakob Steiner inspects a fresco that has appeared in her workshop, she falls in love with him. Since she doesn't dare to speak to him, she writes all her feelings to him in poetic letters. The art-loving man immediately feels addressed. However, he believes the letters are from blond Marie, Katharina's best friend. She is really in love with him, only she asked Katharina beforehand to help her approach Jakob.
