Silke Neumayer (2019)

Silke Neumayer (* 1962 in Zweibrücken ) is a German author . She writes screenplays , novels and non-fiction narrative books .

Life

After graduating from high school, Neumayer first studied communication sciences at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and graduated with a Magister Artium. From 1987 to 1993 she worked as a full-time copywriter . She then received a scholarship for the script workshop at the University of Television and Film Munich . In the following years she wrote mainly comedies and dramas for public and private television .

In 2003, Neumayer's first novel, “Kiss me, Baby!” Was published. This was followed by "Liebe Liebe" (2004), "Herz lass nach" (2006) and "Die Männerversteherin" (2011). Together with Monika Bittl , “Single Parent with a Man” was created in 2012, the first narrative non-fiction book. Bittl and Neumayer worked together on three other titles: “Muttitasking” (2013), “The Brei and Nothing” (2014) and “I remembered myself younger” (2016). Neumayer most recently published another narrative non-fiction book with “Mit Mann ist nicht ohne” in 2018.

Neumayer is the sister of Eric Neumayer . She lives as a single parent with her daughter in Munich.
