Ulrich Limmer
Ulrich Limmer (* 1955 ) is a German film producer and screenwriter . He became known, among other things, through the satirical film Schtonk! , where he was the initiator, executive producer and co-author of Helmut Dietl.
Life
From 1978 to 1981 he studied at the University of Television and Film (HFF) in Munich . He then became production manager there.
In 1984 he switched to Bavaria Film as a producer , where he remained until 1996, most recently as chief producer for the cinema and managing director of Bavaria Verleih und Produktion GmbH. From 1999 to 2001 Limmer acted as managing director of Kinowelt Filmproduktion GmbH in Munich and founded collina filmproduktion GmbH in 2002, of which he was the owner and managing director from 2002 to 2018. Limmer has been a partner in Perathon Film- und Fernseh-GmbH since 2019.
From 1997 to 2011 Limmer headed the Creative Producing course at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy , where he was appointed honorary professor in 1998 . From 2011 to 2013 Limmer was head of the script department at the University of Television and Film in Munich. In the 2013/2014 winter semester he was appointed managing professor in the Production & Media Management department. Limmer has been Vice President of HFF Munich since the beginning of 2020.
Limmer is a member of the German Film Academy and sits on the supervisory board of the collecting society for rights of use to Filmwerke mbH (VGF).
