Peace Prize of German Films - The Bridge
The Peace Prize of German Films - The Bridge , until 2012 Bernhard Wicki Film Prize - The Bridge - The Peace Prize of German Films , is awarded annually in early summer by the Bernhard Wicki Gedächtnis Fonds e. V. awarded to film directors for their outstanding cinematic performance. The prize was donated in memory of the Swiss film director Bernhard Wicki who died in 2000 . The award is endowed with 10,000 euros and has been presented annually since 2002 during the Munich Film Festival . The award is under the patronage of the Bavarian Prime Minister.
In 2009, in addition to the award for the best film, the newly designed actor award was awarded for the first time, followed by a young talent award in 2010. Both prizes are endowed with 5,000 euros.
