Zrinka Cvitešić

Zrinka Cvitešić (born July 18, 1979 in Karlovac ) is a Croatian actress .

Zrinka Cvitešić was trained as a dancer and singer as a student. After graduating from high school, she completed an acting training at the Academy of Performing Arts in Zagreb and then became a member of the ensemble of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb. She got her first film role in a Croatian television play in 2000 . She played her first leading role in 2003 in Branko Ivandas Konjanik . In 2004 she made a brief appearance in the international television production Lady Musketier - All for One with Gérard Depardieu , Michael York and Nastassja Kinski .

In 2005 she received for her leading role in What is a man without a mustache? the Actor Award at the Sarajevo Film Festival . In 2010 she received an award as " Shooting Star " at the Berlinale 2010 ; at the same time she played the leading role in the competition film Between Us, Paradise by Jasmila Žbanić , which earned her a nomination for the European Film Prize.

In 2012 she played the leading role in the debut film by German director Michaela Kezele Die Brücke am Ibar (My Beautiful Country), which premiered on July 3, 2012 at the Munich Film Festival . For her performance she was awarded the Peace Prize of German Film - Die Brücke 2012.

In addition to her acting, she appeared in the Croatian version of the television show Let's Dance in 2006 and won the competition.
