Philip Koch

Philip Koch (born August 29, 1982 in Munich ) is a German film director , producer and screenwriter .

Life

After graduating from high school in Munich in 2002, Philip Koch did an editorial internship at SWR in Baden-Baden from 2003 . During his subsequent studies of directing at the University of Television and Film in Munich, he worked as a film critic, director, sound and production assistant. Since 2009, Koch has been part of the young talent development program of the media company Bavaria Film at Werkstatt Bavaria . His controversial feature film debut Picco won several German film awards in 2010. The film was also invited to the Cannes International Film Festival , where it caused controversial discussions.
