James Hunter Lesher
James Hunter Lesher (born July 10, 1940 in Norfolk ) is an American historian of philosophy in the field of ancient philosophy .
Life
He studied at the University of Virginia 1958–1962 (BA in Philosophy), 1962 at the University of Rochester and 1962–1966 Harvard University ( Ph.D. in Philosophy). He has taught at the University of Tennessee (Philosophy, 1966–1967), University of Maryland at College Park (Philosophy and Classics, 1967–2007), and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Philosophy and Classics, 2007–2019).
