Jim McMahon OBE MP

James (Jim) McMahon , OBE , MP (* 7. July 1980 , Manchester ) is a British politician of the Labor Party .

Since 2011 he has headed the council of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham . On December 3, 2015, McMahon was elected to the House of Commons for the constituency of Oldham West and Royton , succeeding the late Labor politician Michael Meacher . McMahon was able to increase the Labor majority compared to the 2015 general election .
