Christopher Priest

Christopher James Priest (* 1961 ), born James Christopher Owsley, is an American comic book writer and editor.

Life and work

Priest began working as an editor and comic book writer in the 1980s. He was given particular attention due to the fact that he was the first African American to find a job as a senior editor at one of the major US comic publishers. Under his birth name Owsley, he wrote individual comic stories for series such as Batman as a guest .

In the past, Priest has worked as a senior editor for the series about Spider-Man and the Impact-Imprint at DC Comics . As a writer, Priest has worked on series such as The Ray , Power Man and Iron Fist , Conan the Barbarian , Quantum & Woody , Steel , Xero , Deadpool , The Crew and Black Panther .
