James "Jamie" Charles Mackie (born September 22, 1985 in Dorking ) is a Scottish football player who has been under contract with the English third division club Oxford United since summer 2018 .
Career
Plymouth Argyle
Known for his speed dribbling and stepping over, Mackie began his playing career at FC Wimbledon before moving to the fifth division Exeter City in 2005 . After eleven goals in 24 league games in the 2007/08 season, the second division side Plymouth Argyle signed him on January 24, 2008 for a transfer fee of £ 145,000. In the subsequent Football League Championship 2008/09 Mackie (43 league games / 5 hits) established himself as a regular in Plymouth, but ended the season only as table-21. Despite a further personal increase in performance from Mackie (8 league hits), the club rose in the 2009/10 season as the penultimate in the third division.
Queens Park Rangers
On May 18, 2010, Jamie Mackie moved to the Queens Park Rangers and signed a four-year contract. Mackie won the 2010/11 second division championship with QPR in his first season for the club from London . After being just relegated to the 2011/12 Premier League , the Queens Park Rangers rose to the bottom of the table again in the second division in 2012/13 .
Nottingham Forest
On July 25, 2013 Mackie signed for three years with the second division club Nottingham Forest .
