Jamie and Jessie are not together (Original: Jamie and Jessie are not together ) is an American feature film from 2011. The romantic comedy tells with musical singing and choreography of two lesbian roommates from Chicago, one of which will follow in two weeks New York is going to go and the other one still wants to tell her that she is in love with her.

action

The two lesbian roommates Jamie and Jessie have lived together in Chicago for a long time and are both striving for an acting career. Jamie is quite successful and will be moving to New York City in two weeks for career reasons, which panics Jessie as she still has not confessed to her roommate that she is in love with her. Instead, Jessie has one bizarre date after another, while Jamie and their affair Rhonda only meet for sex. As the days of saying goodbye are numbered, Jessie becomes more and more frustrated and eventually meets with Rhonda too. The two end up having sex, probably, as Rhonda says at the end, “to feel closer to Jamie”. Meanwhile, Jessie gets to know Elizabeth, who is interested in her, and has more appointments with her. Jamie accompanies Jessie to an audition for a play at her request, but is persuaded by the jury leader there to also audition and gets the role. Jamie rejects this with reference to her New York plans and Jessie moves up as the second choice. Jessie notices this, then gets angry and accuses the girlfriend of selfishness and self-centeredness and evades contact, which unsettles Jamie.

Some friends point out to Jamie that Jessie behaves like she is in love with Jamie, and they are often mistaken for a couple. At Jamie's farewell party, Jessie gets drunk, exposes Jamie, and becomes desperately jealous. Jamie takes care of the hungover Jessie, but she sticks to her plans with Elizabeth. Eventually the sexually charged mood between Jamie and Jessie discharges and the two have passionate sex. The day after, Jessie goes to Elizabeth again, because "Jamie will go to New York anyway". Jessie finally realizes that she is not in love with Jamie at all, and the final scene is a forgiving one.
