Jan-Niklas Pott (born December 8, 1993 in Kiel ) is a German badminton player for VfL Grasdorf . He has a tibial hypoplasia, a shortened lower leg without ankle joint and growth plate, and starts in parabadminton in the starting class SL4 in doubles and mixed.

In 2017, Pott started doubles at the Badminton World Cup for the disabled in Ulsan, South Korea, and reached the quarter-finals. At the European Badminton Championships for the disabled in Rodez in 2018, he won a gold medal in doubles with Pascal Wolter by defeating the French duo Guillaume Gailly and Mathieu Thomas . In mixed with the Norwegian Helle Sofie Sagøy , he won a bronze medal. In August 2019, Pott and Katrin Seibert won the silver medal in mixed at the World Championships in Basel . In doubles he reached the quarter-finals with Pascal Wolter. Pott is aiming to take part in the 2020 Summer Paralympics , which will feature badminton competitions for the first time.
