Jan-Philip Willgerodt (born March 22, 1978 ) is a German handball player . He plays for HG Jever / Schortens II.

Career

player

Jan-Philip Willgerodt was trained at MTV Jever. For the 1997/98 season he joined the SG VTB / Altjührden . In 2000 he switched to the Bundesliga club HSG Nordhorn-Lingen . Since Willgerodt got only a few working hours, he ran for the second division TuS N-Lübbecke from the end of 2001 . The backcourt player also held positions at OHV Aurich and again SG VTB / Altjührden, which had since been renamed HSG Varel-Friesland. With HG Jever / Schortens II, Willgerodt managed to win the title without losing points in the regional class Weser-Ems Nord in the 2017/18 season. With an average of 7 goals per game, Willgerodt, as the second best goalscorer in his team, played a major role in the good performance.

National team

In 2000, Willgerodt - still under contract with the second division club SG VTB / Altjührden - was considered by national coach Heiner Brand for the test match against the Swiss men's national handball team .
