Jan Bendig (born February 14, 1994 in Hradec Králové ) is a Czech singer, musician and actor. He sings in Romany , Czech and English . Bendig belongs to the Roma people and describes himself as gay in public .

In 2009 Jan Bendig was a finalist in the first season of the casting show Czech-Slovak SuperStar . There followed duets a. a. with the Czech singers Ewa Farna and Kateřina Brožová . His single Sweet 17 was released in 2012, the debut album Never give up in 2013. A new album was announced for the summer of 2016. Furthermore, Bendig had some appearances in some Czech series, films and television productions. In 2012 he played the lead role of Ondrej in the Czech comedy Skolni vylet . Bendig had other public appearances both in the context of Roma cultural events such as the Khamoro Festival and at LGBT pride events in Prague.
