Ewa Farna
Ewa Farna (* 12. August 1993 in Trinec , Czech Republic ) is a Polish -Czech Pop / rock - singer .
Life
At the age of eleven, Farna won the Moravia Music Festival . Later she won first place at the European Youth Festival . In Havířov she won the children's song competition. There she was discovered by Lešek Wronka, a well-known Czech producer, composer and author. With his help, Farna recorded demo recordings which she sent to the Czech Universal Music Group . At the same time she took part in the program Szansa na sukces , where she achieved first place in this episode with the song Za młodzi, za starzy , by Ryszard Rynkowski.
On November 6th 2006, at the age of 13, Farna released her debut album Měls mě vůbec rád ( Eng . Did you like me at all ) in the Czech Republic, which reached position 3 in the album charts. With 25,000 copies sold, the album was also awarded the platinum record . The single of the same name also reached position 3 in the Czech single charts. Her second studio album, Ticho (dt. Silence ) was released on September 1, 2007. In the Czech Republic, the album reached number 2 in the album charts. Like the previous album, Ticho was awarded the platinum record. The single of the same name from the album reached position 15 in the Czech single charts. The second single La la laj reached number 8 in the single charts. On November 10, 2008 Farna's first live album Blíž ke hvězdám ( Eng . Closer to the Stars ) was released in the Czech Republic, which contains titles from the albums Měls mě vůbec rád and Ticho . The album also contains a title in Polish - Tam gdzie ty . In 2008 it was the best-selling live album in the Czech Republic.
In Poland she released her first studio album "Sam na sam" (Eng. Alone ) on November 9, 2007, the Polish version of the album Měls mě vůbec rád . Her second studio album in Poland "Cicho" (Eng. Leise ), the Polish-language version of the album Ticho , was released on March 9, 2009. It is her most successful studio album to date, with over 60,000 copies sold. The single of the same name is her most successful to this day. At the Sopot Hit Festiwal 2009, the title was voted hit of the year. The third single, La la laj , was released in February 2010. The song reached number 2 in the Polish video charts .
On October 26th, 2009 Farna's fifth studio album " Virtuální " ( Eng . Virtual ) was released in the Czech Republic . This debuted at number 3 in the Czech album charts. The first single Toužím ( Eng . I yearn ) reached number 14 in the single charts in the Czech Republic. The third single from the album Maska reached position 57 in the Czech charts. In February 2010 the album Cicho was nominated for the Fryderyk in the category "Pop Album of the Year". Farna herself was nominated in the “Singer of the Year” category.
Also in 2009 she worked on Čechomor's third CD with sagas from the Czech Republic, Pověsti slezských hradů a zámků (German: Legends from Silesian castles ) as a guest singer for two songs and as a narrator. This collaboration was continued at the band's Christmas concert in the National Theater in Prague on December 18, 2010, which was subsequently released on CD and DVD Čechomor v Národním .
Her sixth studio album " EWAkuacja " (Eng. Evacuation ) was released on November 5, 2010 in Poland. Just two weeks after its release, the album received the gold record for 15,000 units sold. In May 2011 the album received the platinum record. The album reached position 7 in the album charts. The first single EWAkuacja reached number 1 in the Polish single charts. The second single, Bez Łez , was released in April 2011.
On her 18th birthday Farna gave a concert on September 7, 2011 in Sosnowiec , Poland , in the Expo Silesia Halle, which was released as a live album in October 2012. The Polish pop band Afromental performed as a guest band . Farna herself describes the concert as her biggest musical project to date. The first single Nie przegap ( Eng . "Don't miss it") reached third place in the Polish single charts. The second concert took place on September 23, 2011 in Brno, Czech Republic . This time the Czech band Toxique performed as a guest band.
On May 22, 2012 Farna was in a car accident between the towns of Třinec and Vendryně . According to the Czech police , she was traveling with a alcohol in her blood.
On July 13, 2012, Farna confirmed that she is coaching the group from Sosnowiec in the Polish talent show Bitwa na głosy .
In 2013 she was a juror in the Czech- Slovak TV casting show "Česko Slovenská Superstar", an offshoot of Pop Idol .
