Jan Daniel Janocki

Jan Daniel Andrzej Janocki (German: Johann Daniel Jänisch ; * 1720 in Birnbaum, today Międzychód ; † September 29, 1786 in Warsaw ) was a Polish literary historian.

Jan Daniel Janocki (spr.ózki), from a German family called Jänisch, which he later changed to Janocki after converting to Catholicism, became librarian of the Andrzej Stanisław Załuski ( Załuski Library ) in Warsaw and died on September 29, 1786 in Bomst.

His main work has the title: Janociana (Warsaw 1776–79, 2 vols .; vol. 3 von Linde, das. 1819), with many biographical notes on old Polish writers.
