Jan Filip (lawyer)

Jan Filip (born November 27, 1950 in Šternberk , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech law scholar and professor at the Masaryk University in Brno .

Life

Filip studied law at the University of Brno. There he worked as an assistant in the Department of Legal Theory and Constitutional Law of the Faculty of Law and in 1975 obtained the so-called “little” Doctor of Laws (JUDr.). In 1984 the so-called “big” doctorate (CSc./PhD) followed. From 1987 to 1992 he worked in the office of the Federal Assembly of the ČSFR. He was Komunistická strana Československa faculty official. In 1992 he was appointed associate professor by the university and has been a full professor of constitutional law there since 1999. From 1997 to 2007 he was also an advisor to the Czech Senate .

Filip has published over 100 articles in scientific frameworks.
