Jan Kästner (born June 20, 1986 ) is a German handball player . He is 1.99 m tall and weighed 100 kg when he was active.

Jan Kästner played at HSC 2000 Coburg until the end of the 2011/12 season , for which he played in the 2nd handball Bundesliga from 2008 to 2010 . From the 2012/2013 season he was under contract with TSV Rödelsee in the Bayern Handball League . There he played in the 1st team. After Kästner scored a total of 193 goals in the 2013/14 season, he returned to HSC 2000 Coburg, where he played for the 2nd team.
