Jan Koltze

Jan Koltze (born May 7, 1963 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament since 2020 .

Professional and private

Koltze grew up in Hamburg-Marmstorf and graduated from the Immanuel-Kant-Gymnasium there . After dropping out of business administration studies at the University of Hamburg , he completed an apprenticeship as a power plant electronics technician at Norddeutsche Affinerie , which he completed in 1988. After working there for two years in this profession, he began to work in 1990 as a union secretary at IG Chemie-Papier-Keramik , which was merged in 1997 to become IG Bergbau, Chemie, Energie . Since 2005 he has headed the Hamburg / Harburg district of the IG Bergbau, Chemie, Energie.

He is divorced and has two daughters.

Koltze joined the SPD in 1990 . In the 2020 state election, he ran for position 11 on the state list and moved into the Hamburg citizenship . In the 22nd electoral term he is a member of the Committee on Social Affairs, Labor and Integration and the Committee on Economy and Innovation. He is also spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group for the labor market and trade unions.
