Soulsister

Soulsister is a Belgian pop formation made up of singers Jan Leyers and Paul Michiels. Her biggest success was The Way to Your Heart in 1988 .

Band history

The duo began together in the 1980s and released their first single, You Get to Me , in 1986 . With The Way to Your Heart they had an international hit in 1988, which made it into the top 10 in German-speaking countries and climbed to 41st place on the US Billboard Hot 100 . This was followed by smaller hits that were particularly successful in Germany until 1994, including the song Broken (1993). You had television appearances in Formula One and RTL Saturday night .

By 1995 five albums with soulful and funky tracks were created. Other well-known tracks by the band are Ain't That Simple , Through Before We Started and Sweet Dreamer . They were still successful in their home country until 1999, when Michiel and Leyer's solo projects were dedicated to them. Soulsisters reunited in 2007 and performed at the Nokia Night of the Proms that year . With the song How Many Waterfalls they had another chart success in Belgium in 2008.
