Jan Michaelis (snowboarder)

January Michaelis (* 15. January 1978 in Hamburg ) is a former German Freestyle - Snowboard poker pro. He took u. a. participated in the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City (2002) and Turin (2006). In Salt Lake City he qualified directly for the final of the top twelve, but was unable to take part in the final due to an injury. In the 2001/02 and 2005/06 seasons he won the snowboard world cup in the halfpipe discipline.

After nine years, he ended his active career in 2006 and began studying "International Management" at Ansbach University .
