Jan Nesselrath

January Nesselrath (* 1972 in Gummersbach ) is a German municipal officials ( CDU ) and full-time mayor of the town Meinerzhagen in Märkischer Kreis .

Nesselrath grew up in Meinerzhagen. After kindergarten he completed his school career with the Abitur at the Protestant high school "Auf dem Bamberg". After military service in Stetten and Waldbröl , he moved to Giessen to study law at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . He did his legal traineeship at the Siegen Regional Court , where his focus was again on administrative law work at the Siegen district administration and the administration of justice.

With the second state examination Nesselrath received the qualification for judge's office . In April 2004 he received from the Bar Association Hamm admission as a lawyer . He then worked for a local law and notary firm for over ten years.

Jan Nesselrath has been a member of Meinerzhagen's city ​​council since 2009 . From 2013 to May 2014 he was parliamentary group leader of the CDU parliamentary group.

The CDU and SPD nominated him as a joint candidate for the 2014 local elections . Nesselrath was elected mayor with 55.83% of the valid votes cast and has been in office since April 25, 2014.

Nesselrath is married and has three daughters.
