Jan O. Pedersen

Jan Osvald Pedersen (born November 9, 1962 in Middelfart , Denmark ) is a former Danish speedway and long track driver.

He was Speedway World Champion in Gothenburg in 1991 and Speedway Vice World Champion in 1986.

Career

Jan O. Pedersen competed in the Speedway U21 European Championship in 1982 and 1983. From 1985 to 1988 and in 1991 he started in the Speedway World Championship . There he achieved his greatest success in 1991 with 15 points.

At the same time he competed in the Speedway World Cup for Team Denmark from 1986 to 1998 and 1991 . Together with his teammates, he won the team world championship in all four years.

In 1990 and 1991 he drove together with Hans Nielsen in the Speedway Pairs World Championship . There he was able to win the title in 1991 together with Nielsen with 28 points.

Pedersen also started in the Long Track World Championship in 1991 . There he achieved third place in the championship.

In 1992 he had to end his career after a racing accident.
